DIOCESAN YOUTH MINISTRY

The Provincial Tanzania Anglican Youth Organization (TAYO) was launched on 26th 1987 in Dodoma. Anyone aged between 18-45is youth in Tanzania. 

Our Diocesan Youth Coordinator Rev. Hosea Baraseka recently organized a TAYO celebration at the Diocesan Cathedral. Mr. Beatus Rwekaza, the preacher of the day, started off with a dynamic sermon in which he challenged the youth to set an example in the holiness of life at home, in the Church and in the community. He warned them not to give in to the devil who might misuse the strength of their youth. All youth were then called to the altar for special prayers by the Bishop.

Before the Bishop prayed for them, they raised their hands to God as a sign that they will use their youth strength to support the Diocese. They then elected a team of eight people who will form a Cathedral Youth Executive Committee.

The Bishop consecrated the committee who then raised Tzs.850,000/= towards growing this youth ministry. 

A memorial picture of the Bishop and the newly elected Executive Committee was taken. (see above pictures). The decision was made that every Thursday,  TAYO groups should meet throughout the Diocese.
