The roads of Lweru tell their own story. Many are unpaved, deeply rutted and filled with potholes; during the rainy season, some become muddy, flooded or severely washed out. Yet these roads lead to the people and communities God has entrusted to the Diocese of Lweru.

Bishop Godfrey travels these roads to preach the Gospel, administer the sacraments, pray for the sick and strengthen clergy and congregations. They also provide the only routes by which he can take evangelism, training and revival teams into remote areas of the diocese. These teams proclaim Jesus Christ, equip local churches for mission and bring the hope and healing of the Gospel to communities that might otherwise remain isolated. The vehicle will also carry ministry materials and essential supplies in support of the diocese’s practical outreach.

The difficult terrain takes an immense toll on ordinary vehicles. Breakdowns are frequent, expensive and time-consuming, sometimes preventing Bishop Godfrey and his teams from reaching planned services, training events and evangelistic missions. Without dependable transportation, the missionary reach of the entire diocese is severely restricted.

Why a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado?

A Toyota Land Cruiser Prado would be far more than transportation; it would become an essential vehicle for Gospel mission. Its durability, high ground clearance and ability to travel across difficult terrain make it well suited to the demanding conditions of Lweru.
