Since the Diocese was inaugurated, both Bishop Jackton and Bishop Godfrey have used costly rental accommodation. The Diocese has worked hard to build this important building which is now in its finishing stages.
The Diocesan Financial Report shows that each local Church is expected to contribute 4% of its annual income to the building of the house. Individual members have also contributed to its building costs. The house has several ensuite bedrooms to provide comfortable accommodation for the Bishop’s family and guests
Trinity Church Wall Street, New York (USA) philanthropic trust is partnering with Lweru Diocese in mission real estate development with a project for long term income generating opportunities. These ten retail units, with more to come, will provide rental income to the Diocese.
