the muleba Ladies College Vocational Training Center
The Muleba Ladies College Vocational Training Centre is an established ministry of the Diocese of Lweru dedicated to equipping young women with practical skills, renewed confidence and the means to build a more secure future.
The centre provides vocational training in sewing for 20 young women, using 10 sewing machines. Many of the students were unable to continue their formal education because of early pregnancy, difficult family circumstances or financial hardship. Through their training, they develop valuable skills that can enable them to earn an income, support their families and establish small businesses of their own.
The college includes a sewing room, dining hall, dormitories and an administrative office. This ministry expresses the diocese’s commitment to sharing the love of Jesus Christ in practical ways by restoring hope, affirming dignity and creating opportunities for young women.
Demand for training continues to exceed the centre’s present capacity. Additional sewing machines, training materials and financial support would enable the college to accept more students and extend this life-changing opportunity to many more young women throughout Lweru.
